In verse 1 it reads:
In the spring when kings march out to war David sent Joab with his officers and all Israel.
They destroyed the ammonites and besieged Rabbah, but David remained in Jerusalem.
Now it is Davids duty as king to go out and fight in battle why did he not go, he is becoming lazy now that he has a city.
example, there is a man who owns a factory. This man stops overseeing his workers and stops helping just because he is in high position and no one can correct him, then the factory go's to waist.
Verse 2-4 :
One evening David got up from his bed and strolled around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing-a very beautiful woman. So David sent someone to inquire about her, and he reported, "this is Bathsheba, daughter of Eliam and wife of Uriah the Hittite." David sent messengers to get her, and when she came to him, he slept with her. Now she had just purified herself from her uncleanness. Afterwards, she returned home.
Davids laziness led to adultery and then later he murdered Uriah. So one sin piled up allot. Now let us think about if David did go to war instead of staying home which was laziness. He might have been victorious and he would not have done all those sins. I see how this lines up with our time today.

To your first point about being lazy...Do you recall when he was almost killed and what his men said?
Your post is a lot better. However, let's research this more and see if what you are saying is exactly accurate. Read the chapters about the mighty men like we talked about.
There isn't a doubt that laziness leads to more sin. Do you know a verse that reinforces that?
