Then Delilah said, "Samson, the Philistines are here!" He has told the secret of his strength and she has betrayed him into the hands of the Philistines. If you haven't noticed Samson is a man who only cares about his pleasure; and he was even willing to tell the secret of his strength to get Delilah to stop pestering him so that he could have "peace."
I think Dad just raised an eyebrow at what I just said about Samson, yes I need work on that to pleasure seeking is an easy thing to get into, as is pointing out the bad things in peoples life that is what I do allot. So I am going to point out the good things in this chapter.
While the people were enjoying the celebration, they said, "Bring Samson out to perform for us." So they brought Samson from the prison, and he performed for them. They made him stand between the pillars. Samson said to the servant holding his hand, "Let me feel the pillars that hold up the temple so I can lean against them." Now the temple was full of men and women. All the Philistine rulers were there, and about three thousand men and women were on the roof watching Samson perform. Then Samson prayed to the Lord, "Lord God, remember me. God, please give me strength one more time so I can pay these Philistines back for putting out my two eyes!" Well maybe some people are wondering what is good about this, but I see that Samson has remembered God in this time and he prayed even though it was for his own revenge Samson remembered God in this time of his life. That is a better thing than most people realize.
