Last night Dad brought up an interesting question: What should a christian be, should he be different then others.
He should obviously be different then others, but what should we be. Dad asked why Christians are hated and he said it was because we brag about our faith. I think that brag was the right word. We should humbly share the good news not saying : your going to die and we aren't because we are going to heaven HA. NO! If we behave as we should or try to be what Jesus is then it will rub off on others. We should be the fruits of the spirit.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
God loves those things. If we are not worried about others and we do what we should be doing then people will start to wonder what it is that makes us like that.

It's not only bragging but being hypocritical. I mentioned that the divorce rate among Christians is reportedly as high as non-believers...teenage pregnancy being about the same as well...Yet, we scream from the top of our lungs how abortion and same sex marriages are wrong. I think we need to take the lumber yard out of our own eye...
When you mention the fruits of the Spirit, notice that those things are all for the individual. He doesn't say that the fruits are mega churches, awesome worship, leading people to the Lord..but, things that affect the individual. Do you think that Jesus wants US to get it right with HIM first?
Good insight son...well done.
yes he does, Ok
