An Idea

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Dad is going to talk on Wednesday for the church. He is supposed to talk about the cross and the Christian, So I will give him an idea.
John 3:16 is a good demonstration of Gods love for us. God gave his son knowing the cross was ahead. God loved us so much that he sacrificed his son for us so that if we believe in him we shall not perish but have everlasting life.
So the cross demonstrates Gods love for us!

Abraham took his one and only beloved son and was going to sacrifice him, for that was God's command. As Abraham and Isaac went up the mountain his son started to ask where the lamb for the SACRIFICE was and Abraham just said that God would provide. They got to the top of the mountain and finally Isaac knew. As Abraham drew his knife got told him "stop!"
"Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son."
It is the same with God giving his son. We know now how much God loves the world that he gave his only son.
