Do we focus on both aspects

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21

I think that this is what people think of and don't focus on the second half.
People might think O I don't need to try and get to much stuff or it might go before God, which is right....

"Two things I ask of you, O LORD; do not refuse me before I die: Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.
Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD ?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
Proverbs 30:7-9

That is good but we need to focus on storing up treasure in heaven. "Well what is storing up treasure in heaven" you might ask. I think it is what you can take with you. You can take goodness, kindness, gentleness, and all that and present that before God. You cant take money or toys or cars. It is like what you give you receive the same in heaven! You put yourself last and receive in heaven.
