Psalm 119:47
for I delight in your commands
because I love them.
I was trying to find something in the bible on loving God and treating his commands as if I love them. I have a hard time loving Gods commands.
Why?
Because it is hard to love them. They are difficult for us to obey.
Many people including me, tend to put off loving his commands... like it is not important to.
What do people do in now times. We do what we love to do, Or what we have to do. In a way we have made it sound like we don't have to obey scripture or obey God, This is in someways true if you do not want to be in heaven. We say God has given us a choice if to obey him, because he has given us a choice to be with him. Thus in a way we do not have to obey him but, do we want to obey him, do we love even the thought of obeying him, then later one day being with Him? Do we love that?
As I thought deeper into this I thought of the people that did not love obeying Gods commands, even those who were Christians. Who do you think falls into that category.
A well known man is Balaam.
Read Numbers 22. It is the beginning of Balaams story.

AFTER READING THAT, do you think God was happy.
It says God was not happy. Balaam kept saying,"I can't do anything without God's consent."
But he kept pushing. He knew God did not want him to go but he still did.
Is that how you want to be? I don't want to be like that.
