2 Corinthians 5:21 (New International Version) God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Jesus came and died for every sin that men have committed.

Isaiah 64:6 (New International Version) All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

Isaiah said it best, all our best deeds are filthy rags! Yesterday I was cleaning out our swimming pool, I scrubbed of all the algae and dirt and pollen off the bottom of the pool. My rag was pretty nasty. A filthy rag is not really good for anything. Imagine having an ant in your service, you would let that ant into your house if he was completely perfect, and did everything that you had commanded. But, the little ant kept breaking the rules. But you wanted that ant to get to experience life inside the house so you went out side and laid down your life to ensure that he was given a chance to enter your house. Maybe that wasn't the best example, but that's what I thought of when I hear or read about the gospel. Christ came to save us so that we might enter the kingdom of heaven and be with Him forever.
