Samuel 1 and 2
And I thought it was interesting how Eli believed her so quickly after just scolding her because that would be the perfect excuse to tell a priest. Also to me, it is proof that God answers prayers and there is the verse where it says: If you ask the Lord that this mountain be moved and believe that it will be done it will be done. And she was calm after so apparently she believed. Eli loved his sons clearly but they would not listen. That relates allot to Dad loving me but when we don't listen we aren't together in heaven.

Poor Eli worshipped his sons more than God. Sometimes I wonder if I could be guilty of that. I really want the best for you and I really want you boys to be great men. Real men...men that give 110%...men that consider anothers interest above your own...men that have valor, strength and an unrelenting love for the Lord. The question is, how do I do that. I will have to try to be one of the men I described and have faith that God will do the work in you!
Good stuff on your blog. Try digging even deeper. Take time to consider more deeply what God would have us take from these chapters. Pray about it, God will reveal it.
