1 Samuel 30 and 31

The Amalekites were the people David had raided, so most likely they found out where the wives and children were and kidnapped them in repay. In verse 30:15 Where it said "swear to me by God that you will not kill me or turn me over to my master." I wonder if he worshiped the Lord or if he had only heard of the Lord. After Saul killed himself things got worse. Was it wrong for Saul to do such a thing? I wonder what Gods view of this was.

So, what lessons does any of your readings can you apply to your life? What has Saul been a poor example of that you should steer clear of? What traits has Jonathan and David displayed that are worthy of copying?
