The Amalekites were the people David had raided, so most likely they found out where the wives and children were and kidnapped them in repay. In verse 30:15 Where it said "swear to me by God that you will not kill me or turn me over to my master." I wonder if he worshiped the Lord or if he had only heard of the Lord. After Saul killed himself things got worse. Was it wrong for Saul to do such a thing? I wonder what Gods view of this was.

So, what lessons does any of your readings can you apply to your life? What has Saul been a poor example of that you should steer clear of? What traits has Jonathan and David displayed that are worthy of copying?
